February is wrapping up nicely for the RoyaltyRange team in Miami! We were proud to sponsor and participate in one of the biggest TP events in the world – TPMinds Americas, which took place on Feb 24-26 at the Miami Biltmore Hotel.

TP Minds is hailed as the best meeting place for the world’s sharpest transfer pricing professionals. This year our LATAM lead, Carlos Pérez Gómez Serrano, was a speaker in a panel about TP documentation and CbCR, where he had the opportunity to present his insights on transfer pricing.

Carlos is a seasoned international tax professional with valuable expertise that he has gained through serving as Head of Transfer Pricing Taxation at the Mexican Central Tax Administration, as well as having been a delegate of the OECD’s Working Party No. 6 on the Taxation of MNEs. Carlos now uses his expertise and know-how in the private sector, and by providing transfer pricing training to governments, regional organizations, and NGOs. Carlos is leading business growth in the LATAM region – a key market for RoyaltyRange as we continue to expand internationally and strengthen our ties with organizations around the world.

The conference also focused on the most pressing matters that are transforming the international tax discourse. This included, but was not limited to, discussions on transfer pricing policy, automation, documentation, BEPS 2.0, developments in the LATAM region, and the US Tax Reform. The staple policymakers panel session explored the latest transfer pricing developments and challenges from the perspective of those on the frontlines of international tax. The audience of tax professionals was ready to discuss the latest on Digital Economy and pose burning questions about managing the compliance burden in the post BEPS world. During the event, attendees were also able to attend various workshops and panels that focused on giving practical tips and advice, for example, how to prepare for an audit or navigate the everchanging transfer pricing controversy landscape.
